Gantong Cablecar

*See: Stunning views of ErHai Lake, QingBi waterfall and Cangshan Canyon.
Price Includes: Taxi to Gantong Temple cable car, National Park entry fee, cable car ticket up and down. Duration: 2-3 hours.
N.B: You will need to pay for a taxi back to Dali Old Town (25-30 RMB), or walk down to the highway and catch a no.4 bus back (2 RMB)

Er Hai Lake Cruise

  • See: Er Hai Lake up close, Xiao PuTuo Island (15 mins), NanZhao Customs Island (40 mins), traditional dancing on board the ferry.
  • Price includes: Taxi to the ferry near CaiCun pier, ferry ticket, island entry fee, 3 course tea tasting on board the ferry.
  • Duration: 6 hours including public transport back from TaoYuan port to Dali Old Town. Ask our staff to provide you with a note in Chinese to assist you getting back to Dali Old Town from TaoYuan port.

The Three Pagodas and ChongSheng Temple

Standing since 824-950AD, the Three Pagodas were built to protect the area from dragons. As none have been seen since it must have worked! On a more serious note, these pagodas have stood the test of time – surviving several earthquakes while most buildings in the area crumbled.
The ChongSheng Temple was once the Royal Temple of the Kingdom of Dali and one of the largest Buddhist centres in South East Asia.
Price Includes: Transport to the Three Padogas, Entry to the Three Pagodas.
Duration: 2-4 hours. When finished just walk back to Dali Old Town (20 minutes).

A very popular form of transportation in China is the electric scooter. It’s very affordable, great fun and no licence required! Take the scenic road along the lake passing by villages and fields.
